“The trainers were there alongside us – even though the training was fully online!”

Merja Keskitalo enrolled in Oppiko’s Neurodiversity Coach Training to update her knowledge of neurodiversity and further develop her professional skills. One of the key reasons she chose Oppiko was a clear requirement she had from the start: “The training had to be fully online.” It was also important that the schedule for the live online sessions was available before the training began. “I was able to organize my work shifts really well because I knew the schedule well in advance,” Merja says.

During the training, Merja especially appreciated the trainers’ high level of professionalism. “Whenever I had questions, I received a response very quickly. Even when I experienced technical issues with my devices, we worked together to find a solution—and we did!”

Although the training took place entirely online, Merja says she never felt alone. “It felt as though the trainers were right there beside us throughout the journey: the same way we, as neurodiversity coaches, should be there for the people we support.”

What did Merja gain from the Oppiko Neurodiversity Coach Training?

“I gained a great deal of new knowledge and, above all, a stronger understanding of both neurodiversity and my own well-being,” she explains. After completing the training, she was surprised by how naturally caring for her own well-being had become part of her everyday life.

“I’m much better at being on my own side now, and I pay far more attention to the things that support my well-being in daily life.”

Finally, Merja sums up her experience of Oppiko in just a few words:

“Guidance, positivity, and perseverance inspired us to learn together.”
