Purpose of Processing Personal Data:

The user’s personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Maintaining, managing, and developing the customer relationship

  • Dispatching orders

  • Providing and executing services

  • Marketing products and services, as well as compiling statistics and analyzing data

  • Developing customer service, business operations, and websites

  • Remarketing using Facebook, Google, and email marketing tools

Personal data is collected when the user fills out a contact form on the website, joins the mailing list, purchases a company product from the online store, downloads a free guide, during customer meetings, or in other contexts where the user discloses personal data to the company (e.g., via email, telephone, or social media services).

Personal Data to be Collected:

The following data may be collected about the user:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Personal and/or corporate data of corporate customers (Business ID, email address, postal address, post office, and postal code)

  • Data related to the maintenance of the customer relationship: billing and payment details, order details, salesperson and partner details, customer feedback, communications, raffle and competition entries, cancellation details

  • Email messages sent to the company by the website user

  • Permissions and consents given by the website user

Retention Periods for Personal Data:

We retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose of its use, or as required by contract or law.

We strive to update data and regularly delete unnecessary information. Please note that, for example, the Finnish Accounting Act obligates us to store accounting material for at least six (6) years from the end of the financial year.

A user who has joined the email list can remove their data from the newsletter register at any time via the link provided in each email. The link is either in English (unsubscribe) or in Finnish (poistu listalta).

Payment Transaction Data:

Payment processing in the online store is carried out through the Visma Pay or Klarna online payment service (the intermediary). The customer’s online banking or credit card details are not stored in the company’s systems, but remain in the records of the company responsible for payment processing.

In some cases, payment is executed via invoice. The invoicing process has been outsourced outside the company. The invoice sender receives the customer’s billing information from the company.

Disclosure of Personal Data:

Data collected in the registers will not be disclosed outside the company for marketing, sales, opinion, or market research purposes. Personal data may, however, be disclosed to authorities in accordance with Finnish laws upon request.

Disclosure and transfer of data outside the EU or the European Economic Area (EEA):

Data of users on the email list (first name, last name, and email address) is transferred to the Active Campaign email marketing software located outside the EU or the European Economic Area. Protection of the Register and the Right of Inspection:

Data is processed confidentially and with due care.

Access to the register requires entering a username and password. Only designated employees and partners of the company, such as the company responsible for invoicing, have access to and are entitled to use the information contained in the register.

The user has the right to inspect the data stored in the register and demand its deletion or correction. If the user wishes to inspect the data or demand a rectification, the request must be sent in writing to the data controller. It is recommended to use the form available on the website of the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman when making an inspection request. The data controller will respond to the customer within the time period prescribed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation, which is within one month.

The website user has the following rights:

  • Right to withdraw consent

  • Right to data portability

The user has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if the processing of personal data has violated the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).
